CURRICULUM VITAE

He was born in Samsun in 1975, and completed his primary and secondary education in Samsun. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1999, he started his specialty education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, ranking in the first twenty in TUS (Examination for Specialty in Medicine).

He completed his specialty training in 2006 and granted with the title of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. After completing his compulsory medical service in Erzincan State Hospital between 2006-2009, he was admitted as an associate fellow in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2009. In 2011, he completed the Craniofacial, Cleft Lip and Palate, and the Aesthetics fellowship programs at the Erasmus MC, The Netherlands and the Copure Centrum, Belgium, respectively. He received the title of associate professor in 2012. He was appointed as a professor in 2019. He is still working as a professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He was a member of the Board of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty Administrative Board at Hacettepe University. He is still a member of the Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments, the Editorial Board of Acta Medica, the Continuing Medical Education Commission at the same university. He is also the Ankara-Central Anatolian regional representative of the Turkish Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Association.

His areas of special interest include: face and whole body plastic surgery, aesthetic and functional nose surgeries, breast aesthetics, post-bariatric (after excessive weight loss) body shaping, treatment of congenital or acquired disorders of the head and facial regions, facial, cranial and jaw bone deformities, orthognathic surgery (jaw aesthetics) and cleft lip and palate.
